Family
Farm Supporters,
Below is
information about an important
meeting regarding corporate
concentration of the seed industry:
"Takin'
It Back: Bringing Fairness & Competition
Back to the Seed Industry for Our
Farmers".
As you know, over the last three years
Monsanto and the biotech lobby have
introduced bills to stop all regulation
of the seed industry in Missouri ("The
Seed Bill"-2006) and to prohibit farmers
and processors from labeling dairy
products as coming from cows not given
rBGH ("rBGH Labeling Bill"-2008). It
took thousands of concerned citizens
like you to stop these bills, and it
will take all of us to keep Monsanto
from taking even greater control of the
seed industry. Lack of competition in
the seed industry is bad for Missouri's
farmers, bad for consumers and bad for
rural economies.

Missouri farmers are paying more for
crop seed than ever before and with
less choice.
Concentration of power in the seed
industry is a major problem for
rural Missouri.
We hope you’ll join us to learn
about the problem, how to make a
difference and have some fun doing
it.
