The Passing of Derry Brownfield

"The Power Hour is sad to announce the passing of one of America's most powerful and loved talk show hosts.
Derry Brownfield passed away in his sleep today and has gone to be with the Lord he loves so very much.
Please keep his family in your prayers as the family and friends and the millions of listeners struggle to deal with his passing.

Derry Brownfield, 79, of Centertown, Mo., passed peacefully Saturday, March 12, 2011, at home.

You are truly loved by so many. No one will ever replace you nor would they try.
Derry, this gives new meaning to the song you end every show with: "Happy Trails to You...Till we Meet Again."

“Bury Derry Day” Details
It may sound disrespectful, but our good friend Derry Brownfield always referred to the day of his funeral as “Bury Derry Day” – so that’s what we’re calling it!
